X:tension is a weekly bible study for Secondary age pupils on fridays after school (4-5.30pm).
There are usually about 10 people that come along and people are different ages, but that means that we get some great conversation!
We meet in Kirk Cottage in Colquhoun Street, opposite the Bank of Scotland and we normally have bread and nutella and hot chocolate.
We study the bible together and talk about how we can apply it to our lives. Sometimes we take a chapter from the bible and read it all the way through over a few sessions so that we can see an overview of what was actually written.
Recently we have been doing a small group bible resource together and we've looked at a variety of topics and thought about what it means to us, for example we looked recently about how God gives gifts and talents to everybody and how we need to recognise them and ask God what He wants us to do with them
It's a great opportunity to study the bible and go a bit deeper with God in a very informal and relaxed environment, so if you think you might want to come along then just drop in or give us a call on 01436 670157.
