Schools

Contraflow has developed its links with the local schools over the years and is now in the wonderful position of being able to contribute to the life of nearly every school in the area. The youth worker visits schools for Scripture Union groups, assemblies, one off events and annual events such as Christmas Unwrapped and Easter Code.

Primary Schools

We run Scripture Union Groups at local primary schools:

• Colgrain Primary

• Cardross Primary

• John Logie Baird School

• Rhu Primary School

These groups are currently led by some of our fantastic volunteers, all of whom are PVG checked and Accredited by SU Scotland.

Secondary Schools

Hermitage Academy has a Scripture Union group run by our Youth Worker and Rhona Knight (The family worker from the Lochside Churches) in the school and they also run a Chaplaincy Cafe, offering free hot chocolate.

Our Youth workers have also been involved in the chaplaincy team which take a number of assemblies throughout the year

It is hoped to develop the links with Hermitage further this year to support the school in their Religious Observance.

Lomond School (Private) - As Lomond School falls under the private schools section of Scripture Union.

They currently have an SU Group, and they attend Easter Code and Christmas Unwrapped.
